Domesday Water Mill.
I am interested in locating the site of a Domesday water mill, for which almost the only possible site may have been on a chalk bourne.
I shall be glad if a reader can refer me to any known example of a water mill on a chalk bourne, past or present, and, if so, of any known detail of how the lack of a regularly flowing stream was overcome.
