Timber Framed House at Bromley -- LISTED.
Members of the West Kent Group were delighted to hear in August that one of their recent 'discoveries' had just been protected, by listing, as a building of special architectural or historic interest.
Thanks to the help and close watch by Ian Pooley this timber-framed building in Wickham Road was recommended for listing by the Group in May. The probability is that it dates from the late 16th Century though it is now heavily masked by later additions. With so many of Bromley's fine buildings destroyed it is splendid to have another one protected. It has been added to the Statutory List in Grade II.
