More about milestones.
I have just had a film processed and it includes some of the Milestones mentioned in my article (KAR number 52, 1978, page 51). The one at the bottom of Lydden Hill (5 miles to Dover) shows a very obvious 66 on the back. It would appear that some of these stones were turned and recut at one time. These figures are in an old style and cover the whole face of the stone.
