Introduction

The South East Regional Industrial Archaeology Conference (SERIAC) is an annual one-day conference organized by a group of Societies in the southeast of England who have an interest in industrial history and archaeology.

This year the event is being hosted by the Surrey Industrial History Group (SIHG), a specialist group of the Surrey Archaeological Society.

Chertsey Hall, Heriot Road, Chertsey KTI6 9DR is a quarter of a mile from Chertsey railway station and one and a half miles from Junction 11 of the M25. Follow signs to the 'Long Stay Parking'. which is opposite the hall (£4 per day).

SERIAC BURSARY.

SERIAC invites applications for a bursary, funded from the surplus accumulated from conferences over the years. These bursaries (up to £250) are intended to support and enhance IA in the SERIAC region. The work may be fieldwork, publication, enhancing public understanding of IA etc. Applicants do not have to live in the region but the work proposed must centre on the SERIAC region.
